Wisdom Resides In You

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Wisdom Resides In You "...but it is not mere age that makes men wise. Rather, it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty that makes him intelligent." (Job 32:8-9 TLB) The Bible tells us the mind of God, and our theme scripture shows that mere aging and experience cannot make one wise. That's why a forty year old can remain a fool forever. However, He tells us where wisdom resides. He says it is the Spirit of God in a man that makes him intelligent. It also calls Him the breath of the Almighty; that is the part of Jehovah that resides in man. During creation, God breathed upon man to make him a living soul; and he walked in the dimension of God till he fell. Remember he had eternal life; but now through Christ we are not just soulish beings, we are active spirit beings, who live after the Spirit and not after our feelings. That means, every step we are now if we let Him can be ordered by the Lord (Psalm 27:23). Little wonder why Solomon in his

God Is Not Done With You Yet

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - God Is Not Done With You Yet "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun,. shining ever brighter till the full light of day." (Proverbs 4:18 ESV) The life of a Christian is a never-ending adventure. It means there's no full-stop to your life, except the one you place there. Remember the story of Elisha and Joash; and also that with the widow. God doesn't stop until you are willing to stop; He doesn't hold back the blessing until you prove you are prepared for more.  And I'm here to tell you that He's not done with you yet. Your life is like a road without end full of light. That's what our theme scripture tells us. Job 8:7 says your latter end shall be greater than your beginning. You know why? Because the glory of the temple is always greater at the latter stage than at the former (Haggai 2:9). And He says you are His temple (1 Cor 3:16); so that's for you. Believe God, your background can't be an obstacle. He will take

You Are More Than Enough

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - You Are More Than Enough "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4) What you have presently may not seem like much to you. It may seem ordinary or just insignificant at the moment, but if that's what God gave you, it's because He knows it is all you need to get all He says is yours.  Consider David. All he had before mighty Goliath was a simple slingshot. He could have finalized himself down and out, but instead he raced towards the giant and brought him down. He did this because he understood that a puny man with God's anointing and favour always stands a better chance than a huge man with no anointing. Consider Moses too. All he had was rod, but that rod changed the world, because on it was the anointing of He who had made the world. But consider this as well: If God could anoint a slingshot and a rod for victory, how much do you think He had anointed

I Bless You In The Name Of The LORD

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - I Bless You In The Name Of The LORD "I have indeed received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot change it." (Numbers 23:20) To every single one of you that has put your trust in God, I declare that the pain that dragged you to your knees shall be alleviated today, in the Name of Jesus. The problems that cause you to cry are no more in the Name of Jesus. The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, and I announce today as the day of God's refreshing upon you. Today, the portals to the fulfilment of your dreams that may have seemed delayed or resisted are opening up. Today, the ideas and resources to achieve the goals God has placed in your heart are released to you. Today, the negative medical report is being changed, and your health restored. This is the day of your release into the whole will of God.  The grace of God acts upon you today in exceeding measures. His favour speaks for you; and His mercies work for you. Where you have had lack, you shall

Overcome The Darkness

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Overcome The Darkness "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1:5) The Bible mentions how God is surrounded by thick darkness. Psalm 97:2 references that; as well as Exodus 20:21 where we are told that Moses went to meet Him in the thick darkness where He was. But isn't it kind of contrasting how a God of lights can be surrounded by a hollow of darkness? But consider this: Place a fluorescent filament on a pole on a dark night, and then switch on the power. You'd realize that while the bulb is at its highest, it pushes the darkness away, yet you can still find darkness circled around that region. However, here's the great part; despite its presence, it doesn't affect the nature of the bulb, nor influence its function, instead it is placed under the authority of the brightness of that light.  It is the same with God. The darkness around cannot hinder Him from being God. In fact, we are told that He rul

Take Jesus In

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Take Jesus In "Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading." (John 6:21 NIV) As long as the sails of a ship haven't been pulled up, a boat will remain directionless, because the sails use the energy of the wind to drive the vessel in a chosen direction. And that's what Jesus is to us--our sail. He keeps us moving in the right path, and anchors us firm and steady where we must harbor. The Bible says that as soon as they received Him in, they got to where they were headed. The confusion ended; the topsy-turvy approach to life ceased. Clarity set in; and purpose was fulfilled. And this happened because that's what Jesus brings. He brings the calm. A lot of us have been kicked by the circumstances of life into a state of confusion. We hardly even know where we are headed again. Though believers, but we are living as if we have no guidance. My dear, I believe it's time to let

Activate Your Priesthood

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Activate Your Priesthood "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." (Rev 5:10) The scripture says that you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people that have been called out of darkness into light (1 Peter 2:9). And that's practically our identity in Christ in this dispensation. We are meant to stand out as beacons as Jesus did while He lived on the earth--doing the work of God, and bringing glory to Him. Little wonder why Jesus having told us He is the Light of the world (John 8:12) went ahead to tell us we are also the light of the world. Not a light, the light just as He is, and must shine as reference points unto God for all to see and glorify His Name (Matthew 5:14-16). But how do you appropriate this identity today and in your everyday life? How do you bask in the awesomeness of your priesthood in all affairs of life? You actively walk in it. Many don't; that's

Live Above Sin

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Live Above Sin "For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to." (Romans 6:6 NIV) When the scripture tells us that he that is born of God cannot sin (1 John 3:9), it was revealing our original identity in Christ; however freewill isn't made a constant. What this means is that the day we became born again, we became new beings expected to walk in newness of life. God expects us to live in His will, above the seductions of the flesh; for old things are indeed passed away. However, in spite of this truth, a lot of believers still struggle with sin. many with pornography, drugs, sexual impurity and so on and so forth. But does it mean God lied? God forbid! Let God be true and all men be liars. So, if God didn't lie, what's going on? Here's what's going on: While we were born into perfection by the Spirit of Christ at New Birth, it is yet an ever

King Even In The Storm

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - King Even In The Storm "The LORD sits enthroned above the flood! The LORD reigns as king forever!" (Psalm 29:10 NIV) Our theme scripture states "The Lord sitteth upon the flood..." It may seem like a metaphor, but literally and figuratively, it is the only reality that is. Please come with me into this frame of mind where you can just see the picture of that statement--God sitting upon a raging flood. An awesome view, isn't it?  It depicts peace and assurance in troubled times. For instance, consider Jesus sleeping in a ship turbulent by the raging sea. In spite of the fierceness of the disaster, it couldn't even disturb Him. Though His disciples were, yet He wasn't, because He is King even over the storm; and proved it by bringing calm to the sea. In other words, that statement is a proof of assurance that we who trust in Him in the storm can be sure of unscathed security. The Bible says when we trust in Him in times like this, the app

Practice Complete Obedience

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Practice Complete Obedience "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth." (Deuteronomy 28:1 NKJV) All through scripture, we learn that any path isn't God's path. He is a God that deals highly with specificity and absoluteness, and specifically demands absolute obedience as well. You see, it isn't obedience if it isn't doing exactly what you are told to do. Little wonder why Mary minced no words when she was specific in her instructions to the stewards, "Whatever He tells you to do, do it." (John 2:5); not however we interpret it to mean.  Even when the instruction seems silly, obedience to God's Word is still more effective than our highest wisdom. That's why Solomon advised us to lean completely on Him at all times, and not just our own level of underst

Never Concede To The Enemy

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Never Concede To The Enemy "The one who loves us gives us an overwhelming victory in all these difficulties." (Romans 8:37) I don't know why a lot of Christians choose to believe that the devil has sufficient power to hurt them beyond repair. That's not what my Bible tells me. It says in Christ we are far above principalities and powers, and that's because we have won more than a victory in Him. And that's why I know that whether in this life or in another, no devil can dictate how my life will end. And believe me, this is not me bragging, and even if it is it is in the Lord; but seriously it's not a brag, it's just scripture. Hence, God's mind concerning you as well. Do you know what it means when it is said in scripture that the LORD is judge? It means that only what He says goes. It means His Word is final; that He calls the shot here and everywhere else. It means who is he that declares a thing and it happens when God has not d

Christ In You Guarantees Perfect wholeness

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Christ In You Guarantees Perfect wholeness "Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me." (John 6:57 NIV)  Christ living inside of you is a spiritual guarantee that you can not be plagued with anything He wasn't. The opening scripture said you will live because [by, as a result] of Him. That means He becomes your life source, and your Source in general the day you ate of Him; which figuratively depicts the day you were baptized into one Spirit with Him by virtue of New Birth. So, the day you received His life into your spirit, you did because you ate of Him--the bread of heaven (John 6:51). And this life covers all aspects of your life; because eternal life is all-encompassing. It doesn't just affect only your spiritual life, it affects all of your life. For example, Paul tells us that the people of Israel ate of the spiritual meat-Christ-in the wilderness (1 Co

Peace Even In The Storm

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Peace Even In The Storm “Be still, and know that I am God; ... I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." (Psalm 46:10 NIV) There are a lot of things Jesus couldn't teach His disciples while He was yet with them because they weren't prepared for it, so He let the Holy Spirit teach them with each event they experienced. he did this because truth must be fed to others in proportion to their level of preparedness. This is important because while the truth can set one free, it can also kill when received unready. And one of these secrets was the ability to be calm in the midst of chaos.  Jesus already told them He had granted them such peace (John 14:27, 16:33), but they never experienced it until they had grown to understand it. Can you imagine the boat nearly full of water and Jesus was still asleep? That's what I call peace even in the storm, and it's what He offers us. It is not a promise, it is a given; but unless you

Exercise Your Identity

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Exercise Your Identity "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light." (Ephesians 5:8 NIV) On a certain day while speaking to the unbelieving Jews, Jesus said, "If ye were Abraham's seed, ye would do the works of Abraham" (John 8:39). Prior to that moment, He had told them that "Whosoever commits sin is a servant of sin" (John 8:34); bringing into agreement what Paul insinuated when he said that whoever you submit yourself to, its slave are you, whether of sin unto death, or of righteousness unto holiness (see Romans 6:17-19). In other words, Jesus was telling us that our disposition reveals our identity. It is not enough to believe, we are admonished to "continue in His Word" (John 8:31). We must consciously yield ourselves to bear the fruits He does. And so it becomes impossible to belong to God and look like the devil. It shouldn't be. And that's what Jesus was trying to

Don't Give Up Now

Image
DAILY VITAMIN - Don't Give Up Now "Be strong and take heart,... all you who hope in the Lord." (Psalm 31:24 NIV) We are admonished at all times to stay strong and firm, because God will surely compensate us for our faith. The scripture says He has great bouquets of goodness laid up for us who trust Him (Psalm 31:19). So, never give in to the discouragement or the depression the circumstances of life brings your way. Instead choose to trust God to prove Himself as who He is. The three Hebrew fellows were threatened with death, but rather than succumb to fear, or concede to the tactics of the devil, they chose to believe God; and He rescued them, because He always does and won't start failing with you. The same thing happened with Daniel, who was delivered from the lions because "he believed in his God" (Daniel 6:23). I don't know what you may be going through, but trusting God is how you will break through it all. And trusting becomes easy when you neve
