There Is Yet Hope In Your Future

- There Is Yet Hope In Your Future

"The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former ..." (Haggai 2:9)

God never creates a good beginning without a greater end for those who trust in Him. Like it is written in the Book of Job, the end is always better. At least that's how it ought to be. And when it comes to us believers, our end will be better. Both here on earth and afterward.

The Bible refers to it as the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day (Proverbs 4:18 ESV). So while the beginning may appear to be dark, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Jesus speaking about us mentioned that as many as have lost one thing or the other because of their allegiance to Him shall repossess multiple folds of the same in this world and everlasting life in the world to come (Luke 18:29-30). Or shall we also consider how Isaiah puts it when he said eyes have not seen nor ears heard what God has prepared for us (Isaiah 64:4)?

The present may look bleak, but God has a plan. You may have run out of plans to get yourself out of that rut, but God hasn't. And He says He will help you (Isaiah 41:13). He will come through for us. Paul elaborates more when he wrote that the suffering of the present cannot be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us (Roman 8:18). For weeping may endure all through the night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

If there's one thing I know about God, it is that He never owes anyone nor sidetrack on a promise. Scripture says He's not a man to fail (Numbers 23:19). Hence, if the Word of God tells us there is yet hope for us, there is. He won't renege on that promise. In fact, for all your trouble He'd grant you double (Zech 9:12). Come out of that stronghold of disappointment, doubt, He says, those of you who yet have hope in Him because He will redeeem you.

Thus, don't despair. Don't write yourself off. Don't live too scared. You will bounce back. God will help you. You may not have the machinery to better your life presently, but again God will help you. He knows how to bring the right people into your life and also to bring you to the appropriate opportunities. All you have to do is keep hope alive, because the glory of your latter state shall far exceed that of your present. Amen.

    1. I'm glad it was impactful for you. Plus it is our only truth. Our paths shall be loaded with blinding lights brighter and brighter with each passing moment (Proverbs 4:18).
