A Clean Bill of Health Is Possible

DAILY VITAMIN

- A Clean Bill of Health Is Possible

"No inhabitant of Zion shall say "I am sick..." (Isaiah 33:24)

God is able to make all grace abound toward a man that he'd get to have all things in sufficiency, including good health. I've seen it happen many times. In Jesus' time, He healed as many as were sick and the Bible never told us these folks went back to being sick ever again. The woman with the bleeding problem, the blind man at the pool of Siloam, the invalid at Bethesda, and the old woman at the temple with a bad back, none of them returned to their sickened state after He touched them. And you don't have to either.

The Bible said He will restore health unto us and heal us of all our wounds (Jeremiah 30:17). Not some, all. He knows how painful that condition is for you and promises to heal you. Why is this so important? Because it's against protocol for a child of Zion to be ridden by sickness. Our theme verse says it's an abomination. No one with light in him/her should ever be put down by anything, not even illness.

Now, I'm not saying a man can't fall sick. Of course you can. The body is liable to break down when stressed beyond limit. But I'm saying you shouldn't if you do your part. God has given you a blank cheque for uninterrupted good health. When Christ died on the cross, He took all our infirmities upon Himself and at that moment proclaimed us healed (Isaiah 53:5). He took all our lack and replaced it with His wealth of things; saying all are ours (1 Corinthians 3:21-23).

Do you know what this means? Everything is at your disposal. When you feel that slight pain in your body, before you reach for an analgesic take the restoration that's been provided for you. It's all in the package that came with your salvation. And here's the greater part, it's what God wants for you. He wants you in great health at all times (3 John 2) and wants you to come to Him when anything seems to outweigh its possiblity (Matthew 11:28). Only believe and reach out to the Lord to take what's always been yours.

Hence, trust that this is the truth as scripture proclaimed, then trust that it is your truth. You see, it's one thing for Christ to be a healer, and another for Him to be your healer. For the latter, you need faith to receive. As scripture says, if you will not believe, you will not be established (Isaiah 7:9). So you've got to believe that He is your Rapha and that you're going to stay in good health at all times. But again, coupled with this, never forget to do your own part as you let God do His. Do all you must to live a healthy life. Eat well, sleep well, exercise. That's your part. God's part is to keep you untouched by any external sources of afflictions. And He will. I know He will.
