- There Is Power In This Place

"And the inhabitants shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity." (Isaiah 33:24)

I'm sitting here listening to Hillsong's 100 Billion Times and in those words today's devotion comes alive. Visible, apparent; because it not only reveals the strength of our God, but all of our potentials in and through Him as sons and daughters of God.

Our position in Christ is one of power. Power sufficient to change lives for good. Not just ours, but even those amongst us. Power to heal and to change fortunes forever. The scripture says the same power that raised Christ from the dead now dwells in us and will quicken our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11). Not another body, this one. This same one everyone says is sick and weak to death. Not in any other life, but this as well. In other words, it doesn't matter how sick you seem or how weak you look, there is sufficient power to restore you to health.

First, because it's His promise to you: I will restore health unto you (Jeremiah 30:17); and second because the power that revives all things abides in you. See it this way: When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn't rise as a spirit but in the same body. Therefore it means that all His human organs, tissues and cells that were assumed dead came to life; how much more will it take the same Lord to revitalize that singular dying organ giving you a hard time? I'll tell you, nothing.

He says He will quicken this body and make you whole. That the heart that seems dead like a stone will grow back to flesh. Because by His stripes we were declared healed (Isaiah 53:5). These aren't my words, it's His, and He has the power to prove it true. And this is possible even for you because you're in a position that warrants it. You are from the Kingdom, Zion and here no one ever stays ill because it is the domain of the healer. 

Obadiah says on this mountain, deliverance is assured (v.17). Hence, let this mind be in you: You're part of a Kingdom that has granted you the liberty of restoration. Whether it's your marriage, finance, health or what have you, there's power here for that. All you have to do is submit in faith to these words. Don't doubt Him nor resist it, accept it as truth and see yourself transformed.

What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action. In everything you do always remember that love comes before ambition. Most times we get so carried away in climbing the ladder of success that we fail to recognize and notice when there are hands stretching high for us to help lift them up.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
