Trust God To Keep His Word

- Trust God To Keep His Word

"For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89)

Everything God promised us is bound to be if we'd only stay in faith, and this involves doing as He calls us to per time. The odds may not be in your favour, you might not be the smartest in the room, or the prettiest, but if you will trust God to keep His Word, it will happen as told you.

Jesus told Mary that all she had to do was believe and she'd see the glory of God revealed (John 11:40). All you have to do is believe too. God has already written the script of your life, and everything He promised you is a part of that. So, it's bound to be, if you'd stay in line.

In 1 Samuel 13, the people of Israel fled in fright when they saw the huge armies of Philistia, and they didn't know how victory would come about. They knew of the covenant but they didn't know how God would bring it to pass with such a view. They had no weapons nor anything to defend themselves. But in Chapter 14, God used two men to put Philistia to shame on the day. You see, it's not your business how God is going to do a thing, yours is just to know He will do it. David said I don't know how He does it, but since I was a kid till now, I have never seen the righteous forsaken (Psalm 37:25).

Have the same mind toward God-that regardless of what may happen, His Word of favour concerning you is settled forever. Psalm 36:7-8 says "How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures." In Psalm 18, the scripture says He is a buckler to the one who trusts Him (v. 30). A buckler is a shield, a reason to brag; and thus says such a man will walk and live in dominion (v.32-48). That fellow can be you this day. All you have  to do is make a decision to stay in trust with God; for when you do that, gates open up to you (Isaiah 26:1-5)--gates you never thought could.
