Just A Little Longer

DAILY VITAMIN

- Just A Little Longer

"But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul." (Hebrews 10:39)

In the same book of Samuel, the scripture says "as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, Samuel came..." (1 Sam 13:10). This was about Saul trying to play God and take matters into his own hands, rather than trust God. He had waited for seven days and nothing happened, and as he saw his people deserting him, he opted to act; and act he did, but wrongly and to his own demise.

It was indeed the beginning of the end for him. But what do you think made him do it? You know; because it is the same thing that makes you choose to do it your own way than stay in trust. I can just imagine the devil whispering into his ears as he did with Eve, telling him "You got to do something or you gon be left with nothing." And believing in his fears than in his faith, he gave in.

But no reason is good enough to not trust God.

Are you also giving in? They mock you that you aren't attractive enough and that's why you don't have a man fluttering around you, even though you've been keeping yourself in God's will thus far; and then believing them, you let yourself fall into the arms of the first man that came along, and now you are a victim of an abusive relationship.

Well, guess what? You could have waited a little longer. God's will is always the best. The Bible says " As for God, his way is perfect..." (Psalm 18:30); and He is bent on leading you to it. You just have to be willing to be led to it.

Notice what the theme verse said. When we believe God, we ought to believe Him for good. We don't seek shortcuts or try to do it our way. But if you have, it isn't over for you. We have a forgiving Father and one who restores us unto the path of righteousness. All you need to do is repent of your ways, drop your tactics and walk in His will. As you do this-waiting on Him, He will strengthen you and give you all the treasures He promised you (Psalm 37:34). Juanita Bynum said "I don't mind waiting"; and just a little longer, that's how long you need to, and you will find God's goodness working in your behalf.

Bethel Music said it best when they said His goodness runs after us according to Psalm 21:3; and this David said is because he trusted the LORD (v. 7).
