Receive Wisdom (1)

DAILY VITAMIN

- Receive Wisdom (1)

"If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask him, and he will gladly tell you, for he is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask him; he will not resent it." (James 1:5 TLB)

The scripture tells us that silver has a depot, and that gold has a place people can have access to it; yet it says there is a path that no one knows. The fowl don't know it, the depths don't have it, and in spite of the number of brilliant men that have died thus far death still hasn't had its hand on it. It says the content of this path makes the greatest gems insignificant because it is surpassing in value, price and glory. And then tells us that God knows the path, because He is the path. He is the place where wisdom can be found (Job 28).

Job 12:13 says "To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his" (NIV). Little wonder the theme scripture tells us to ask it of Him, because it comes from Him. The wisdom of the world is limited to knowledge, but the wisdom that comes from God is beyond worlds and revelations. Consider how the wise men of the earth felt puny before Solomon, Daniel, Joseph and even Jesus. They encountered superior wisdom and knew it, with one common testimony amongst themselves - that the spirit of wisdom dwelt in them.

David said as a result even his previous teachers came to learn from him. But how did they receive this wisdom? Solomon said "they that seek the LORD understands all things pertaining to life" (Proverbs 28:5). Hence, they sought Him, and out of His mouth came wisdom, knowledge and understanding to impart them (Proverbs 2:6). They reverenced God and grew wise for it (Proverbs 9:10). You can do the same. Ask of Him in faith, but importantly walk with Him in faith, for He lays it on the path of the righteous (Proverbs 8:20-21). Furthermore as you fellowship with His Spirit, He rubs it on you. Remember, he that feasts or walk with the wise shall be wise (Proverbs 13:20). And the Spirit is the unction that gives us the liberty to know all things (1 John 2:20).

So, my dear, wisdom is before you; receive her. With faith, receive and possess her in His Word today as you seek the Lord in fellowship (Proverbs 8:17)
