- Receive Strength

"He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless." (Isaiah 40:29 NLT)

You may be feeling jaded and weak in your spirit. You feel like giving up on God. Perhaps you're even starting to believe that there is no more hope for you; well, I have good news for you. God wants to strengthen you. He will and He can.

The Bible says He gives power to the faint and might to them without strength. So it means God knows some of us might grow faint in times of adversity; and He says it is because we are depleted in spiritual strength (Proverbs 24:10). And this exempts nobody; for He says that even the young ones that are meant to be filled with might and vigour will grow weak too (Isaiah 40:30). 

But thank God for His unspeakable gift; He didn't leave us without a witness. He showed us how to receive strength afresh. He says that as we wait upon the LORD, our strength shall be renewed, and we shall be renewed, and we shall soar so high as the eagle that we may never be weary again nor faint (Isaiah 40:31).

So, what does it mean to wait upon the LORD? Spend quality time with God in prayer and in the Word. Remind yourself of His love and promises to build up your faith. Rejoice in the Lord (Habakkuk 3:17-19); that's where strength is found (Nehemiah 8:10). Commend all of your trust on the Word of God; and as it breaks forth its light in your heart, your inner man will be renewed with supernatural strength from the Lord (Ephesians 3:16-19).

Hence, keep praying and believing in His Word. He will do it (2 Samuel 22:33-37).

What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
