- Abraham's Blessings Are Yours

"So if you belong to Christ, you are now part of Abraham's family, and you will be given what God has promised." (Gal 3:29 CEV)

I remember how growing up we would sing that song every day both at church and sometimes in school. "Abraham's blessings are mine," we would sing. And thank God we did, because it wasn't just a song, it is our truth. 

The Bible says that "...all who trust in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received." (Gal 3:8-9 TLB). No exemptions. All of us in Christ. Well, you might want to say "but how come? I'm racially a minority; or I'm from a poor family. How could I possibly be blessed that greatly?"

The scripture says that all in union with Christ have been enveloped by Him (Gal 3:27); hence the life in all of us have no colour nor social status (v.28). There's no black nor white; poor nor rich; just Christ's. And as a result, everything God gave to Abraham, He was also giving to us--through Christ. And what did He give to Abraham?

1. He gave him right standing. Do you know what that means? It means we have a right to heaven--His presence and grace. Yes! We have that now in Christ.

2. He blessed him with a transgenerational blessing (Genesis 12:2); we have been blessed also with all the blessings in heaven through Christ (Eph 1:3).

3. He raised him above curses (Genesis 12:3); we also have been, for our lives are now hid in God with Christ (Col 3:3). 

All the blessings that made Abraham a force to reckon with have been bestowed upon us. Remember, He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness full of virtue and glory and blessings through the knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 1:3-4). Keep that in mind this new year, and with it plunge into your new era of abundance. Hallelujah!

DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
