- You Shall Do Greater Things

"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father." (John 14:12)

These words of Jesus weren't a wish; they were a fact.  It was what He knew to be true because He had made it so. Case in point, during His earthly ministry, Jesus only travelled to as little as three nations-- Palestine, Syria and his homeland Israel; but consider his apostle Paul, he went to more than double that amount propagating the Gospel. He covered everywhere Christ covered; covered a large portion of Europe and Asia as well. And it is a no-brainer because Jesus already told us that we would be witnesses of His power and grace in the uttermost ends of the earth.

In the same way, Jesus sees the potential for more in us all. He sees the capacity to do more than all He could humanly do, and has given us the power of the Spirit to achieve it. So above all things, always remember that you are not limited, you have broken all boundaries in Christ. In other words, if Jesus never lacked anything under the Father's watch, He is assuring you that you won't either. If disease never overcame Him, it won't win over you. if He made significant impact in life, you can do much more. 

You just have to believe His Word and proclaim it into substance. Recall that you are only what you accept in your heart to be (Proverbs 23:7, Matthew 9:29). Hence accept all Christ has said about you. He says you are strong. He says you are great. He says of you, "greater things than these shall you do." Amen.

Prayer:

Thank you Father for the ability to live after the very fashion of Christ. to walk in His power and to exude His grace by faith. I thank you because there's nothing impossible for me to achieve; and it's all because of you. This and more I thank you for in Jesus' name. Amen.

What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action. In everything you do always remember that love comes before ambition. Most times we get so carried away in climbing the ladder of success that we fail to recognize and notice when there are hands stretching high for us to help lift them up.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
