Why The Wicked Prosper

- Why The Wicked Prosper

" for there is no respect of persons with God" (Romans 2:11 ESV)

One of the most important question in life is Why? And one of the most important why questions Christians ask is why the unbelieving men in our time still prosper if the Bible says the wicked shall not prosper?

Take a look around and you'd notice that the richest men of the Twenty-first century don't identify as Christians. If that be the case, then why are they rich? Is the Bible contradictory? No it isn't. God clearly explains why.

In Proverbs 26:10, Solomon says that the great God that formed all things both rewards the fool and the transgressor. Note that the term fool here doesn't speak of the unwise, but of the unbelieving (Psalm 53:1); hence, why would God reward a man that doesn't believe in Him and a sinner that blatantly disrespects Him? It is because as Dr. Myles Munroe used to say, "God doesn't give us what we pray for, He gives us what we can manage".

Remember the parable of the talents? The scripture first of all never tells us they were Christians. It called them servants as all of mankind are to God by creation. In fact, Jesus even went further to say that the wicked ones among these servants succeed in these time because they are wiser than the believers as it regards the principle of prosperity.

In other words, they are successful because they respond properly to the principles and responsibility of success; and that is that success is determined by the capacity for management. It is the fruit of how you can manage your time, resources and potential into all you were made to be. And God is obligated to bless such a man that does this.

In Proverbs 22:29, He says such a man shall be uplifted above common men. So if you still wonder why that unbeliever is progressing in school or at work and you aren't? It is because he or she is keeping up with the rules of success and the secrets of management set up by God Himself.

You can't pray your way into riches. Even Jabez didn't. You work your way there. The Bible says commit your work unto God and He will bless it (Proverbs 16:3); so work has to be present first before blessings can follow. In essence, you can pray for the ideas for work and the guidance to do it rightly, obey accordingly with the proofs of work, and then success will come. God doesn't endorse laziness; remember, faith without works is dead on arrival.

So wake up and take back the glory that was always yours to get. God prepared the top for His people, but now His people have to also prepare themselves for it; and we do this by learning how to manage what He gives us per time, and build the capacity for more. Thus, take heed to management and hone the capacity to practise the best of its kind; for to he that is seen to be faithful and diligent in a thing, God is obligated to grant access to more things. Hence, go ahead and prove yourself today, and watch yourself succeed as well.
