- Guard Your Faith

"Guard the treasure entrusted to you, with the help of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us." (2 Tim 1:14)

Everyone have their personal rods. The rod in this case is the witness you have within that keeps you believing in spite of circumstances.

In Exodus, God used the rod Moses held to perform all kinds of wonders, and as long as he held that rod, he knew God would do anything as He promised on that day.

So, as with Moses, it is our channel of hope in which when we remember strengthens us to hold on to God and His Word regardless of how hard the trials of today may seem. Well, in John 12, we see how the Sanhedrin were plotting to kill Lazarus, and not just Jesus. Why? Because the miracle of his rising had won over some of their colleagues; and they presumed killing him will kill their faith in Jesus. But didn't Lazarus still die? Didn't Moses' rod still decomposed? They both did. But did that kill faith on the earth? Of course not! Because as much as God gives us a rod and Lazarus to help us live in remembrance of His faithfulness, it is paramount that our faith be fixed on Him.

Little wonder I didn't indulge you to guard your rod or your Lazaruses, because those things may yet vanish to test us, but faith when completely in God will prevail regardless of what may be. Recall what Paul said "What can separate me from...God?" (Romans 8:38). That's how faith speaks when absolute. Hence, protect yours!

What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action. In everything you do always remember that love comes before ambition. Most times we get so carried away in climbing the ladder of success that we fail to recognize and notice when there are hands stretching high for us to help lift them up.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
