- Your Body Is God's Home

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Your body is not just a part of you, it is a place God resides in. The scripture says that God dwells in us just as we dwell in Him by the Spirit. And as much as this is exciting, it depicts two things.

First, with your body being God's house, it means you can't just do anything with it. Remember, the Holy Spirit abides in you, and so you must walk in holiness with your body. Forget what society says about how your body is yours and so you can do whatever you like with it, that isn't what God says. He says "-ye are not your own. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Cor 6:19-20). 

Hope you saw that? God isn't only interested in how well you nurture your spirit, He cares also about how you use your body in line with His Word.

Second, with your body being God's house, it means the devil can't do anything he likes against you. Scripture says before a house is raided, the strongman must first be bound. Well, in your body, God is the strongman in charge. It is His property, and we know He can't be bound. So that means you are above sickness, weakness and oppression in Him. You are above the laws of nature, and subject only to His Word. It doesn't matter if they say people your age suffer aneurysms, God doesn't; and He is the one overseeing all affairs over your body.

Hence, you can relax; for all we know this is God's house.

DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
