Trust In The Lord Today

- Trust In The Lord Today

"Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it and he will." ( Psalm 37:5 TLB)

One scripture you must never forget is Psalm 23. It says "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want" (v.1). In this scripture David reveals his level of trust in the Lord, and wrote about what it did for him and can do for us in other parts.

First, he was confident that he could never be in want - note, not because of some hidden trust fund, nor his exceptional political connections, but - because of the Lord who watches over him. The same God who gives us all things richly to enjoy. And then told us that as a result he lies all day in rich pasture. That's an amazing picture. Never in lack and want. Just as a sheep grazes and lay in satisfaction, David was showing us what God can do and does for us when we trust in Him.

Notice what he said in Psalm 34; "The LORD redeems the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate" (v.22). And still gives a picture of how legit this is. "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing" (v.10).

Thus, you can trust fully in God to help you. People may have failed you, but He won't. You may be passing through a hard time now, but I want you to know that after the test is over, the testimony begins. His Word affirms that, and it cannot be broken.

What is this testimony?

"Trust in the LORD, and do good [everything He requires of you]; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed" (Psalm 37:3 Emphasis mine). Hope you saw that? He will meet you at every point of need today; you just have to trust Him.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you because through the provision your glorious Son's gift in me, I'm assured that you will never leave nor forsake me. You will never let me starve to death; not emotionally, nor in my career, nor otherwise. You will always meet my needs, and though others may experience a casting down, by your grace I'll always find a lifting. So shall it be now and always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
