Trust Him Even In The Darkest Night

DAILY VITAMIN

Trust Him Even In The Darkest Night

"Commit thy way unto Jehovah; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass." (Psalm 37:5 ESV)

Our theme scripture tells us that even when things seem to be happening differently than we planned, we must continue to stay committed to God in line with all He has promised us and it will surely come to be. And this is a very vital instruction for a whole lot of us who tend to melt in anxiety when things get unexplainably difficult.

You think to yourself, "What did I do wrong? I've done everything He told me to; why are things still worse for me?" And in that desperation, run off to do many things that are against the perfect will of God. But here God tells us to trust Him instead. You see, people might judge you for having questions, but it is perfectly normal. In fact, God expects you to have questions; but yearns that they only lead you to lean more on Him. If not, why would He tell us to plead our cause that we might be justified? (Isaiah 43:26).

Job was in this exact situation. He sought answers. He spoke of having words with God to understand what He would say to him (Job 23:3-5). And then tells us that in such a fellowship shall he find his deliverance (v. 7). He also spoke about those moments when it appears as though God is far from us, and everything seems to be tupsy-turvy, and said that God is still aware of us and would bring us forth as gold (v. 10). Remember, He is watching over us to bless us (2 Chro 16:9). Thus, even when things get difficult, always know that you can rely on Him. And as you trust in Him, doing all He tells you to, you'd find yourself highly blessed (Psalm 37:3).
