The Key To Success In God

DAILY VITAMIN

- The Key To Success In God

"Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word" (Psalm 119:67)

It is good to make plans in life, but it is better to live in God's plan; because that's where the blessings are. The scripture says many a man make plans, but it is the Lord's that prospers; only His.

In our theme scripture, David said he was afflicted when he went astray from God's guidance; but now that he is walking in His Word everything is good. And we can tell from his words in Psalm 34. He said the strong creatures may suffer lack and retrogression, but not those who inquire of and require His constant guidance and help on the authority of His Word (v. 10 AMP). He says they shall never be put to shame (v. 22).

Things may not have looked good thus far, but they will. Isaiah said "Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light is the sun shall be sevenfold....in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of his people... " (30:26). Studying the entire chapter, you'd understand that that means because they are guided by Him, they will shine seven times better than they did aforetime. This is the only way to obtaining and retaining success in God - obedience to the guidance of His word.

Joshua 1:8 says "...that thou mayest observe to do according to all....... and then thou shalt have good success."

The more we follow His leading, the more we are found in His blessing. Consider Isaac; he sowed in a famine by order of God, and reaped in abundance. Consider the sheep in the Middle East as David illustrated, who despite the barren lands still found abundant pastures to lie upon (Psalm 23:2). Only obedience to the Shepherd can do that. Hence, if you want that, follow suit.

"...blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." (Luke 11:28).
