God Will Not Disappoint You

DAILY VITAMIN

- God Will Not Disappoint You

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words [to you] shall not pass away" (Matt 24:35 Emphasis added)

In Luke's representation of our theme scripture, he said it is easier for heaven and earth to pass than for one tittle of the law to fail (Luke 16:17). Note that the term Law here means the Word of God as Matthew told us. In other words, Jesus was telling us that everything God says comes to be.

The Bible already told us that He doesn't lie as men do, nor change His mind; but does all He has said He would do (Numbers 23:19). This case in point makes God's Word immitifigable, immutable and impregnable. And the great part is that this includes His promises to you and I too. Scripture says they are yes and Amen (2 Cor 1:20). That is, they are assured and they always come to be.

Therefore, Jesus was saying to us that heaven and earth may fade away, but my promises to you won't. His words of hope to you won't disappoint. He won't fail you. The things around you may not seem to agree with this now, but God always keeps His Word. He says what are the odds that heaven and earth would fail to hold up today? Whatever it is, the chances of His promises failing is a thousand times lesser. And you can count on that.

In Hebrews 13:5, the Amplified Classic translation repeats the clause "I will not" three times for emphasis on how assuring He is. It says "... I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake you nor let you down (relax my hold on you)! [Assuredly not].
