- Never Be Afraid To Ask

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Matthew 7:7)

Jesus told us that if ever we are in need, we should ask of the Lord, and we will receive. He said "everyone that asks receives" (v. 8). He also said that if we are lacking what we require to smile again, we should ask, and it will be done for us (John 16:24). And we can be sure of this because if we ask anything in His name, it will be done unto us (John 14:14).

And it pleases Him to do so because we are His children. Thus, He tells us that if evil men can help their children, why wouldn't he help us? (Matthew 7:11).

However, let's consider His words to Zechariah. He said "Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field" (Zechariah 10:1).

First note that since the scripture constantly uses grass to figuratively describe man (Isaiah 40:7), He was speaking to us all. 

Second, He indulges us to ask for anything we know is due to be borne. When everything indicates it should be now ask and He would bring it forth now for your possession. Do you know what that means? It means you can ask your way into anything that is due to happen in your life- be it a promotion, a child, marriage, financial increase and what have you. All you have to do is ask the Lord in prayer, and He would answer as He promised. 

Prayer:

Lord God, [Make your requests known to the Lord now in your own words]. In Jesus Name. Amen.

DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
