It Is Never In Vain

- It Is Never In Vain

"He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him" (John 3:36)

The Bible speaks of a day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ (Romans 2:16). So, there is a day when everything we have done will be brought to the light- some to glory, others to wrath -by an even standard, Jesus. And the good news is that we who have stuck to Him will not be disappointed; our walk in righteousness will not be in vain.

The scripture says "To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life. But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jews first, and also to the Gentile" (Romans 2:7-10). This means God will reward us. Remember, He is not unrighteous to forget our works... (Hebrews 6:10); don't let anyone deceive you: for your walk in faith and righteousness you have a place in God's Kingdom.

Jesus said "Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me" (Luke 22:28-29). Because you believe in Him, you have eternal life (John 6:47), and He promised that where He is there you will also be - and that means a place in and with God forever.

If Jesus hadn't risen, then maybe everything we are would be in vain (1 Corinthians 15:14). But glory to God! He is risen. Hence, "be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord"

Prayer:

Father, I thank you because your Word is true. And it assures me that my place is with you forever. It assures me of better things that come with salvation because you won't forget our works and labour of love towards you. I thank you because it's never in vain, but to the glory of your name, and the glory we share with you hereafter. In Jesus Name. Amen.
