- God Will Reward Your Good Works

"For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister." (Hebrews 6:10)

The opening scripture tells us that God never forgets our works- and if they be good, He will surely and keenly reward us for them. This is because God owes no one; He pays in full at all times. And so we are encouraged to keep doing good, for in due time we shall receive our reward in glory... not just in heaven, but on earth as well. Remember Galatians 6:9.

Jesus said in this world manifold and in the world to come everlasting life (Mark 10:30). One person who can testify of this would be Mordecai. He had saved the king from some treacherous aides, but it almost seemed as though his good deeds were thrown under the carpet. Yet he wasn't fazed by man's disappointment as long as God's Word remains true. 

After some years, a new aide sought to kill him out of jealousy. Everything had been prepared, but on the night of execution, God brought Mordecai into remembrance. The scripture says the king remembered what he had done, and decided to honour him, and chose this evil aide to honour the man Mordecai. 

Tell me, how can you convince the king to murder a man he just honoured? This is God's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Rather than death, Mordecai was lifted to the third most powerful position in the kingdom: proof that God will always reward good works. 

Hence, don't be discouraged by present circumstances, instead "be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Cor 15:58). Praise God! 

Prayer:

Father, I thank you because you reward all those who diligently seek you. I thank you because you will reward us according to our works; and you have promised to bless me in glorious fashion. Therefore, I declare that I am blessed, in Jesus name. Amen.

What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
