God Sees Past Your Limitations

- God Sees Past Your Limitations

"...Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed" (Romans 4:17 AMP)

Do you ever feel like you're not good enough? Well, don't be, because God knows you are good enough. It may not seem like you have gotten everything in order yet, or that you could possibly meet those dreams He's placed in your heart, but believe the God who made you when He says you are.

In our opening verse, the scripture says that God calls those things which be not as though they were. This isn't referring to His power in creation, but His natural habit. You see,  God doesn't look at you and see the man you are, He looks at you and see the man He says you are. He sees past your present struggles to declare all He has made you to be. So while you are seeing an unfit person, God sees a man that can do all things through His strength in him. You might see a mistake, but God sees a person perfectly made in His image and likeness.

Consider Peter. Even at his weakest moment, Jesus looked upon him and saw a rock who shall do great things for the church, and keeping the dark world in constant shame. He saw a weak Peter as a strong member of His heaven sent squad.

The same can be said of Gideon the frightful who would become Gideon the powerful. It's just how God is. He sees past our limitations and into our predestination. And so when He talks of us, He speaks in faith and not of mere sight. You see, the scripture speaks of possibilities - your possibilities. So, when you read what the Word says, it's actually saying "This is who you can be. This is whom you were made to be. This is whom God expects you to be". And until we meet God where and how He sees us, realizing it may stay impossible.

So while circumstances may have slowed you down, it hasn't changed God's mind about you. He still sees the same person He made to cause a change. All you have to do is embrace His Word, and walk in the grace it bears till you fulfill it.

Confession:

I am a new creation. People may judge me based on how I look, but I am better than that. I am what God says I am, I have all He says I have, and will be all He says I will. I may not look at it now, but I already am. I am the glory of God in expression.
