Be God Confident

- Be God Confident

"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him..." (2 Chronicles 16:9 AMP)

The scripture says that "Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee" (Nehemiah 9:6). What we can learn from that is that God doesn't just make things, He preserves them as well. He is always in charge and on top of every situation.

You see, unlike men who create disasters and then find it difficult to control it when it goes ballistic, God can never be caught unaware or clueless at any time. He is always at the top of His game all the time. There is nothing too difficult for Him, and what He can't do doesn't exist.

And why is this good news for us? It shows us that if God takes cognizance of everything that is happening down here, He must surely also be aware of where and how we are. It shows that He is watching over us, guaranteeing our safety. That's what our theme verse says, He is constantly watching over us to keep us in all our ways. He is always there to defend and help us. He said He will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:6), and that even though our parents lose touch of us or can't help us anymore, He will always be by our side (Psalm 27:10).

Do you know what this does to you? It changes everything. It changes your perspective, your disposition; everything. It changes how you see your challenges. Let me give you an illustration. Let's say, for instance, they tell you you've got to fight the street bully in an hour, how would you feel? Scared, right? Now, let's say some minutes later, the world karate champion decides to fight on your behalf, how would you feel? Confident of victory, right? It takes the log of worry off your shoulders, causing you to exude a level of confidence that may be misinterpreted as arrogance.

Well, people around may call your being unshaken arrogance, but don't worry ignorant folks think the worst. It's not their fault if they can't spot the difference between arrogance and your own kind of confidence. One is self-indulgent, the other is God-indulgent. So,  you can rest in the knowledge of who's got your back. God is greater than a karate champion. Hence,  trust Him.

Confession:

My trust is in the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. I know He is always with me to keep me secure. That's why I know that no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper. Though a thousand fall at one side,  and ten thousand on another, but my confidence is in the Lord,  and I know the evil that caught them shall not come near me. And so it shall be forever in Jesus' Name. Amen.
