Blessed And Highly Favoured

DAILY VITAMIN

- Blessed And Highly Favoured

"And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]. And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves].(Genesis 12:2-3 AMP)

In our theme scripture, God affirmed to Abraham that He had made him a blessing that could not be cursed. This is great on two grounds.

First, that it means indeed that no weapon formed against him could ever succeed, thus confirming everything the scriptures highlight as the heritage of the Saints.

Second,  it means that the same blessing accrues to us who are the seeds of Abraham. It's generic; and the scriptures tell us that all in Christ are seeds of Abraham through faith (Galatians 3:29).

In other words, it then means that when God spoke those words many years ago on the plains of Haran, He wasn't just speaking to Abraham, but to you and I as well; conclusively depicting that we are blessed and highly favoured. Glory to God!

Ephesians 1:3 says that God has "blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ". That shows that there's no blessing lacking in our lives regardless of what may appear. We may not have materialized them yet, but they aren't absent; they are there within our spirits waiting to be unleashed. So, there's no leftovers to be received from heaven, He has given it all to us. Hallelujah! We must simply learn to walk in and exercise its reality. The Bible also says that by the Spirit of Christ now resident in us, God has replaced our mourning with the oil of joy, our humiliations with glorification, and our heaviness with praise (Isaiah 61:3). This is our real reality through Christ; now we just have to practice it in everything we do- in how we live, how we act, how we speak, and so on and so forth.

However, you can start with this; having woken up this morning, with a big smile on your face say to yourself boldly: "I am blessed and highly favoured!" Amen.

Confession:

I am blessed of the Lord; for all things are mine because I belong to Christ. As a result, I can never be defeated or outwitted by the evil one. All my needs are provided through the graciousness of God. Everywhere I go, I am favoured; I'm honoured; and I'm exalted. Every day is just another better day. I have no better yesterday, because my path shines brighter by the day. Oh hallelujah! Indeed I can boldly shout it from the mountain top: I am blessed and highly favoured. Amen.
