- God Rules In My World
"...to the intent that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever He will, and sets up over it the basest of men." (Daniel 4:17)
      It has become a regular sermon, even in church, that the devil is the god of the world. But is that so? The fact that many people believe that doesn't make it right. Paul spoke about how the prince of the air and the god of this world has blinded the men of sin (Ephesians 2:2, 2 Corinthians 4:4). Hope you noted the word "this"? Paul used "this" to indicate the ungodly world and times. Remember, we are in the world but not of the world as Jesus said; however while we are in it, the devil isn't our god over it, God is. And Jesus affirms that.
      When the devil came to tempt Him, asking Him to bow down to him [believing himself to be god of the world], Jesus said to him "Be gone Satan; for thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shall thou serve" (Matthew 4:10). Jesus was even telling the devil that he was still under subjection to the true God in this world.
     Thus, listen to me, the devil is not the god of your world. God rules in your world (1 Chronicles 29:11). Daniel records that God had it revealed to the King Nebuchadnezzar- a man who also thought he was a god over nations. And it is still the same till date. Yes it is true that when Adam fell from his god-status, the devil took his keys of dominion; but that has been retrieved in Christ (Rev 1:8), and Christ has given it to His church - you and I (Matthew 16:18). So we are no longer under the dominion of the devil, rather we are under the power of His grace; and in this power God rules in our world in all ramifications. As a result, we don't walk the earth like victims or slaves, but as priests and kings; as conquerors for our God. This alone is the first victory you can experience daily over darkness - the understanding that you are not in any way inferior to the devil, but in every way superior to him in Christ Jesus.
     Let this mind be in you, and you will ever walk in sweatless victory every day of your life. "All the people of the earth are nothing when compared to him; he does whatever he thinks best among the hosts of heaven as well as here among the inhabitants of earth. No one can stop him or challenge him..." (Daniel 4:35 TLB). Blessed be God!

Confession:
I am a new creation; and in the New Creation God reigns and I reign with Him. In the New Creation I am seated in the heavens in Christ, far above all principalities and powers; and in this realm God's will for my life, not the devil's whim, is supreme. Hallelujah!

DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
