Born To Reign - So Reign!

DAILY VITAMIN
- Born To Reign - So Reign!
"And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth" (Rev 5:10)
The Bible speaks of Jesus as the Lord who sits and reigns in heaven forevermore. And I know it's true. Praise God! Now, that same Bible says that as He is [connoting both yesterday, now and through eternity], so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). That alone should tell you about who you are- or at least should be -in Christ.
The scripture says He brought us into a Kingdom, and made us priests unto the Lord: and we shall reign on the earth, as seen above (TLB). Note the two most important words there- 'made' and 'reign'.
First, it shows that God isn't waiting to make us anything; He already made us everything we could be in Christ; we simply have to manifest their realities every day of our lives. Also, that it's past tense proves that it is exactly how He had always seen us. Even when you didn't think you were worthy of anything, or capable of such things, He already knew you were, because He made you so in Christ.
Scripture says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil 4:13). It also says "God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (v.19). And so it means that all you could ever require to be all you could ever become resides in Christ; and Christ resides in you. His presence in you by the Spirit quickens and guarantees you to live beyond your limitations (Romans 8:11).
Second, it says "shall reign". That term is both present tense and present perfect. And so therefore, God doesn't want you to think He was referring to some distant future as it may seem; He was talking about now - at these very moments of your life. When He said "In the last days, the mountain of the Lord shall be exalted above every hill..." (Micah 4:2), He was kind of talking about you, and the entire Church. Recall Obadiah 21 speaks of saviours coming out to Zion to judge the wicked nations. If He had used Saviour, we'd know He meant Christ; but the plurality suggests He was talking about the offshoots of Christ - us.
In other words, we are not victims on the earth; we are more than conquerors through Christ. And if this is so, then we have to live like it. You have to walk it, act it, exercise and express it; because unless you do, you'd only be living a substandard life as compared to the true you in Christ!

Confession:
I'm more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. I'm not a victim. I can't be pitied, only envied. The glory of God upon me is too magnificent to be ignored. Because in it is hope for the world. Therefore, in the Name of Jesus, this is my season. I reign and shine in it every day to the glory of the Father. Amen.
