Faith Goes With Patience

DAILY VITAMIN
- Faith Goes With Patience
"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." (Hebrews 10:36)
Hebrews 11 specifically tells us the story of men and women who today we term heroes because of how they overcame their ordeal. It tells us of Noah, of Abraham, of Isaac, of Jacob, and a plethora of many Old Testament saints. But one thing it clearly shows us there is that their faith was greatly effective because they greatly exercised patience.
For instance, Noah loved God; he trusted Him. He knew God's Word to be unfailing; but guess what? He could have given up. He could have gotten tired of waiting. Many of us would have. Five hundred years was more than enough time to lose faith. But Noah never lost faith, because he was patient with God. Abraham also had to wait twenty-five years for a child. Time was moving fast, and so was his body's physiology. He was literally getting old, as well as his wife; which was enough "proof" that God might have lied, but he didn't bulge to the pull of that idea. He did not give up.
Scripture says only those who have faith enough to have patience receive the promised; and Abraham had that (Hebrew 6:12-15). The same goes for Isaac who patiently moved from one well-creating expedition to acquiring his own source of overflow; and Jacob as well who trusted God enough to wait for the manifestation of His blessings. You see, while it takes faith to bring you into promise fulfillment, it takes patience to keep you there completely.
So I'll ask you: In your life presently, are you passing through a hard time? Have you done all you believe God has asked you to do, and still nothing has happened? Well, have faith in the God who promised you, and be patient enough in your anticipation. Remember, patience is beyond just waiting through time; it's about waiting with trust; waiting with a good attitude; waiting with faith expressed; waiting with a positive outlook. Rest assured, God is going to perform all He's promised, because He always does what has been believed (Luke 1:45). All you must do is keep your trust in Him firm, and with that be unfazed by what you see presently. Simply count Him too faithful to fail, and patiently anticipate its fruition.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you because your promises are ever true, and your word is always unfailing. I believe all you've said of me will come to be as you've spoken. I only ask for the expression of grace in my daily life to patiently live as you expect of me so as to obtain its reality. I ask that by the strength of the Spirit, I walk every day in obedience to your will, and in the unison of faith towards that which you've promised, in Jesus Name. Amen
