The Benefit Of Being A God-Associate

DAILY VITAMIN
- The Benefit Of Being A God-Associate
"Say ye to the righteous that it shall be well with him..." (Isaiah 3:10)
Being associated with God automatically qualifies you for blessings. Check through scriptures and you'd find this out to be true. From Abraham to Isaac to Jacob, down to the woman from Shunem. In 2 Kings 8:1-6, we are told of how she was given a hint about the future that saved her and her house from the impending danger- the same miracle Joseph enjoyed because of his ties to baby Jesus; and even when she returned, she recovered all she had missing out on just for being acquainted with God and His prophet.
But you are not just acquainted with Him. You don't just know Him; you are an associate of the God-kind - a colleague of the divine. You are a kind of Himself. The perfect resemblance of His person in Christ. You may not have been living like it, but that's who He says you are -and expects you to be. He says "You are gods; and all of you are children of the Most High" (Psalm 82:6); and that you've been out of course because you don't understand this yet (v.5).
You are on another level beyond what the Shunamite could attain or experience. You share in His fellowship, and of His Spirit. You are one with Him. You participate in His Kingdom agenda alongside Him. In fact, you are seated in heaven, safely hidden in Him (Ephesians 2:6, Colossians 3:3). Furthermore, He calls us His representatives; that whoever welcomes us welcomes Him (Matthew 10:40)- showing that His experiences are naturally our realities.
So, you don't just have access to blessings, you are a blessing. God said to Abraham that He shall make him a blessing unto nations (Genesis 12:3), and then affirms to us that "if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Galatians 3:29). In Christ now, whether things look good or not around us, they are bound to work in our favour, because we are not ordinary persons; we are gods in His very class to the glory of Jesus.
"But we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him" (2 Corinthians 3:18 TLB).

Confession:
I am an offspring of God. I cannot be cursed. I carry blessings everywhere I go. Everything responds to my call as it does to God, because I'm an associate of the God-kind. When I walk, I walk as He does; when I talk, I talk as He does; when I act, I act as He does; all of these to the glory of God. Hallelujah!
