Understanding The Word

DAILY VITAMIN
- Understanding The Word
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". (John 1:1)
The Word of God is Christ - the wisdom and power of God; the first cause of all things; and God's personal expression of Himself to men. With this, we can say that for every time we meditate on the Word, we inundate ourselves in Christ. For every time we practise the Word, we practise Christ. For every time we understand the Word, we understand the mind and the will of Christ. With the Word actively in us, we'd be walking in the very mind of Christ. His experiences become our experiences, and His expectations become our expectations.
Remember, the Spirit through the apostle Paul tells us to adopt the mind of Christ (Phil 2:5). He already had told us that we have this same mind (1 Corinthians 2:16). But you see, the first is said because even after being born of the incorruptible seed of God, this incorruptible mind of Christ is still left domicile by many believers; and so He urges us to make it active. How? He tells us we can by refuting the world's system of thought and renew our minds instead to fully be aware of God's good, acceptable and perfect will (Romans 12:2). And this we do by feeding our spirits with the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26).
The more we understand and meditate on the Word, and live the Word, the more we can exercise our God-likeness on the earth. Recall that the things that make a good life full of victory and dominion are set into motion as we know the Word. "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who hath called us to glory and virtue." (2 Peter 1:3). It begins with the knowledge of Him; it begins with the Word. So, keep feeding on the Word, until the Word works out of you all He says you are.

Confession:
The Word of God is my life. It is my license to the very life God has afforded me. It is resident in me by Christ, bringing into full expression the very realities He assured me of. As I understand all He says by the Spirit, I begin to live in their very manifestations. With this, my life is ordered by the Word, producing in me the very experiences of Christ. Glory to God!
