The Spirit Of Life
DAILY VITAMIN
- The Spirit Of Life
"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you" (Romans 8:11)
The Holy Spirit is the life of God in expression. And I mean true life, eternal life. When God wanted to breed life on the earth, He sent His Spirit to brood upon it. When He wanted to give life to the soul of man, He put His breath [Spirit] into him. In other words, the Holy Spirit is a transfigurator of the life God possesses. Our theme verse says it all.
It tells us that He raised Jesus from the shallows of death, and still rejuvenates the life of Christ in all who believe. And believe me this should excite you. Really, it should. Remember, God's blessings towards His people are always beyond spiritual (3 John 2). So, the Holy Spirit isn't only in you to sustain your spiritual life; He is there to also augment your physical and mental capacities, and so on.
And yes, you got it; you have Him resident in you now! He propagates life in all its facets; and so expect a new flow of life brewing in and through you. Expect a more blissful spiritual experience and greatly enriching physical encounters in diverse dimensions even as you continue to fellowship with Him.
Note that the Spirit in you is God's own Spirit. However, you must also understand that He is like a dynamo within that must be triggered constantly into full effect. Like a man in coma who has life within him but in dormancy, the Holy Spirit's influence can be left inactive in an individual. In the same way, the fullness of God's life in you may never come to the surface unless you engage it consciously and actively. Recall, ye are gods [you are associates, replica, of the same quality and in the pantheon of the God-kind], but you will die as mere men [because you never acknowledged it] (Psalm 82:6). You have God's life inside of you, don't leave it in dormancy. Instead, exercise and maximize this transcendent life in you today to the glory of God. Hallelujah!
Confession:
The Spirit of God dwells richly in me, acknowledging and identifying me as the exact image of Christ. By His presence in me, I am filled with life. Life that cannot be hampered or deteriorated by ill circumstances. Instead it is an eternal life, an overcoming life that has placed me above and beyond all works of the devil, to the glory of God. Amen.
