Under His Mighty Hand

DAILY VITAMIN
- Under His Mighty Hand
"Truly, O God of Israel, Saviour, you work in strange, mysterious ways" (Isaiah 45:15 TLB)
God still does wonders. And the scripture tells us that we are ordained daily beneficiaries of these great mysteries in display (Psalm 68:19). The evil one may have hunted you down, but harming you isn't something he can easily do at will, for the Lord will always raise a standard against their wrath to your victory. A standard they will never be able to meet (Isaiah 59:19).
For instance, having instructed Jeremiah and Baruch to correspond His messages to Jerusalem in writing, everyone realized their need to return to God, except the king. Instead, in reaction to it, he burnt the scroll, downsized the rights of the two men responsible, and began a search for them in order to incarcerate them. But here's the part I like; regardless of how hard or how long they sought, they couldn't find them, because God hid them (Jeremiah 36:26).
Wow! Isn't that incredible? Do you know how many times the enemy might have desired to sift you as wheat as he intended for Peter, but couldn't because God kept you safe? The Bible says that it's because of Him that we are not consumed (Malachi 3:6); for He says we are hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). No wonder Moses could say "he will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge..." (Psalm 91:4 RSV), and remember He is a refuge the righteous can run into and are safe. It was this same covering of God that kept the Egyptians in the darkness unable to touch the Israelis overnight till the sea had been parted (Exodus 14:20). And now it's on you too.
Also, look at the story of Elisha and the Syrians. They were sent to kill him; were before him, and yet couldn't recognize him (2 Kings 6:10-20). Contrary to their plan, God delivered them into his hands. So get excited and praise Him because you are safe in His hands and constantly under His watch. Thank Him because even when you walk through a myriad of adversaries, you will yet be unscathed by them (Psalm 91:7). Thank Him because He will stand as a banner of immunity against the enemy's attempts. His angels are surrounding you, but He is watching over you. Walk in this confidence, claim the victory, and keep thanking Him for it. Praise God!

Confession:
I am divinely protected and safeguarded by God's own hands. Because of this, the enemy tremble at the sight of me. And as soon as they hear of my coming, they fade away. I walk in this eternal immunity over the works of the dark world, and in victory over their powers, because I walk daily under the careful watch of the Most High. Glory to God!
