Overcoming The Atheistic Argument

DAILY VITAMIN
- Overcoming The Atheistic Argument
"THE [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, There is no God." (Psalm 53:1 AMP)

David made that statement. It's almost as though he had a lot of sadistic people also trying to preach the "God doesn't exist" sermon to him, as they still try to do today. Well, here's the proper response he had for them. He said "The heavens are telling the glory of God; they are a marvelous display of his craftsmanship. Day and night they keep on telling about God" (Psalm 19:1-2 TLB).
He was simply saying that everything else can be denied, but not God. A man would have to be cynical to look at all of life and never see God in the picture. We might try to blame it on men's curious intellect or on increased knowledge; but we'd only be deceiving ourselves. Life itself tells us that there has to be a God. The perfect episodes culminated in the unique destinies of men is proof enough that this isn't just all a product of any cosmic arrangement or misarrangement.
And even now in our days, these doubters have grown in their unbelief, saying they can't see how such a God, if He exists, would permit such chaos in the world. If you know one, or maybe are one, this is what I will tell you: Occurring events are never enough facts to disprove truth. For instance, let's say for every time the power is switched on, the TV set comes on. Let's also imagine that for a certain number of days, the power came on but the TV didn't, does it mean that there was no power? No, right?
In the same way, even when we know that God is the source and convener of all peace, the existence of suffering in the world doesn't still prove that He doesn't exist. The existence of death or betrayal doesn't as well. The supposed absence of a thing doesn't mean the non-existence of its origin. Suffering exists because of the consequences of mankind's original sin. It will all cease to be one day; but whether in its extinct or extant state, it still can't change that all of life tells us that God is real. It doesn't change the truth that He is, and that He loves us.
You may think you don't feel it, but that's where faith comes in. You may not see Him, but He can be seen. Not all things must be tangible to be seen. Love isn't, and neither is joy, but you can always identify when they are present in a place, because their fruits are evidence enough of their existence. God, and His very aura, can be felt everywhere you are. Simple acknowledgment is what it takes to see it.
With this, doubting God's existence would be like playing the fool's game. It gives you nothing; on the contrary it takes everything from you. Ask the man who says there is no God, he may act like he has a great life in material, but within him he knows he has no real sense of life- empty, because he is void in that portion of mankind only God can fill. Ask him, and you will tell from his eyes.
God exists, but beyond that He lives in us. Hence, whenever the gainsayers come to make you doubt His existence, tell them that. God lives in you, and will never leave you nor forsake you regardless of the world's events. The night may be dark, but it doesn't mean the stars aren't still behind those clouds. In the same way, not even men's lack of insight into the truth can stop God from being, and it shouldn't stop you from believing either. He says nothing can cease His love for us all- not the suffering that be, and definitely not the truthless arguments they bear.
"Who shall ever separate us from Christ's love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword? For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:35,38-39 AMP).
Glory to God!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you because I am fully convinced that You are, and that you love me. I pray that you abundantly shower me with your grace by Your Spirit to never forget that- not in my words, thoughts or actions. Rather I ask that you help me to stand strong on this truth of who you are, and also to draw as many as you have given me to your eternal bliss in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen
