Choose Commitment To God Always

DAILY VITAMIN
- Choose Commitment To God Always
"The shepherds of my people have lost their senses; they no longer follow God nor ask his will. Therefore they perish and their flocks are scattered." (Jeremiah 10:21 TLB)
No man can leave the path of goodliness and expect to find any form of good. That is, you can't take a train to Mexico and expect to end up in Holland. It's not just possible. In the same way, you can't cease walking with God and expect to end up with Him.
God is the source of all life, and so it would be foolishness to abandon the ways of God and expect to find the fullness of life He's reserved for you in whatever you do. In the scripture above, we see that there was a reason for the downward progression; and He says you can't engage in such and end up differently (1 Sam 2:30).
Non-commitment to God does no good to the believer, because it is likened to denying himself of the right to live the life that is his in fullness. The writer goes on to say that it is never in a man to map out his own life course to greatness (v.23). It is something only our compliance to God's will can do for us. Even Jesus tells us that God has not left Him to nothingness because He did those things that please Him (John 8:29). You can't please the Lord in your living and end up with a displeasing life. Check this out, "So the church throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was edified [growing in wisdom, virtue, and piety] and walking in the respect and reverential fear of the Lord and in the consolation and exhortation of the Holy Spirit, continued to increase and was multiplied." (Acts 9:31 AMP).
The fear of God is always the principal route to greatness (see Proverbs 4:4).
Thus, take this moment to re-evaluate your life. Have you been given to God's ways or simply yours? Remember, he that sows to the ways of the flesh shall reap corruption, but he that sows to the ways of the Spirit of God shall reap life. Therefore, submit yourself to His ways today, and your life will never remain the same forever. Notice what Job 22 says: "Acquaint now yourself with Him [agree with God and show yourself to be conformed to His will] and be at peace; by that [you shall prosper and great] good shall come to you. Receive, I pray you, the law and instruction from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty [and submit and humble yourself before Him], you will be built up; if you put away unrighteousness far from your tents, If you lay gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brook [considering them of little worth], And make the Almighty your gold and [the Lord] your precious silver treasure, Then you will have delight in the Almighty, and you will lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, and He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways. When they make [you] low, you will say, [There is] a lifting up; and the humble person He lifts up and saves. He will even deliver the one [for whom you intercede] who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands." (v. 21-30 AMP).
Your story can be different and to your advantage; all you have to do is choose this day to walk in His ways of life. Choose the path of blessings in Him; and you can start today by staying committed to Him.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I submit myself to your will; to know it and to do it always. Refine my heart to choose you always, and strengthen my spirit to follow you to the end. Thank you for answering me, in Jesus' Name. Amen
