At His Command

DAILY VITAMIN
-  At His Command
"Now get up and go into the city and await my further instructions." (Acts 9:6 TLB)
Every believer is at the command of the Lord; designed to satisfy His every need (2 Tim 2:4-5). Recall that as He has said to one, He says to all (Mark 13:37). Those words in our theme verse is God's word to all of His children. In fact, in that same chapter we see multiple examples.
First of all, we see Ananias who was commanded of God to go and minister unto Paul - a man whom He had won unto Himself (v.10-17). Can you see yourself in the face of Ananias right now? You should. You see, a lot of us have been commissioned by God to nurture His people. It might be in your street, your class, your workplace or even in church. It is possible that God has called and empowered you to encourage, exhort, teach and correct the people of His flock and those outside the flock; and I can only hope you're doing so.
This is important because your relevance is tied to it. We have no other record of Ananias other than that of a man who received a command from God and obeyed Him; and today we all know him.
Second, we see Paul, who immediately he received his own command went out and preached the Good News ceaselessly (v.20). This is our primary responsibility - to launch into cities and introduce Jesus to the world. That is what we have been called to do (Matt 28:19-20). Our lives and exploits are meant to bring a plethora of individuals back to God.
That's what Peter did (v. 34-35). An entire town was won over to God because Peter would not let Dorcas remain a victim of deathly hollows (v.37-43). In the same way, we are God's instruments for such transgenerational impact on the earth. We were born for this, designed with this, and destined to live by it. Like Solomon said, it is our whole duty as men (Eccles 12:13)- that is, to serve His will all day, every day. Thus, use this days left in the year to make a radical and decisive commitment to spend your life doing His command till all of it is spent for the fulfillment of His good pleasure.

Confession:
I am a soldier for the Lord. I never tire, neither am I weary. I shall be strong doing the will of the Lord every day of my life and following His commands, till all of me tells the perfect story about all of Him, to the glory of God. Hallelujah! Amen
