We Are Giant Killers

DAILY VITAMIN
- We Are Giant Killers
"Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37)
How great is that? We are not just conquerors, we are more than conquerors. That means that we don't just overcome what others can, we also overcome what they can't. The world may not know how to deal with their challenges, recessions and circumstantial inconveniences, but we do. In Christ, we do. We are as David was; we are giant killers.
David wasn't afraid when he saw the giant as compared to how the entire Israel had reacted at the sight of him. This was a changed David. The Spirit of God had radically transformed him. He wasn't concerned about its size, all he cared about was that he was going to bring it down. And down he did.
In the same way, we have been blessed with the capacity to overcome any or all circumstances in Christ. In fact, it says we can do all things because we have received strength from the LORD to do so (Phil 4:13). You'd note that David could achieve such a feat because he had the Spirit of God upon him. Well, guess what? We have the Spirit upon us and also in us. Our being immersed into the Spirit by His baptism upon our lives has made us like God to every opposition and challenge set against us (Zech 12:8).
We have the X-Factor for greatness dwelling within us, and He is proof enough that we can't and won't fail. Even in all forms of unprecedented disadvantages, He gives us the advantage. And how does the Holy Spirit empower us to do this? By faith. Remember, "this is the victory that (we who are born of God use to) overcome the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4). By faith, we can shut the mouth of lions and subdue nations (Heb 11:33). And that includes the devil and all his antics. By faith, we put into motion He, who is greater than all there is, dwelling in us. And David understood this. He said "Your servant killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God!And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands." (1 Sam 17:36,47).
David couldn't see his limitations. It was glaring, but he wouldn't see it. It didn't matter how many came his way, he conquered them all. " These were born to the giant [clan] in Gath, and they fell by the hands of David and his servants." (1 Chro 20:8 AMP).
What about you? When life throws its best pawns at you, or hit its best shot at you, what should you do? Keep the faith. Don't quit! The enemy would rather prefer that you quit than face it, because when we do in the name of the Lord with faith intact, we'd always come forth victorious. Let this understanding give you audacity in the face of adversity to say as David that "Through You shall we push down our enemies; through Your name shall we tread them under who rise up against us. For I will not trust in and lean on my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our foes and have put them to shame who hate us. In God we have made our boast all the day long, and we will give thanks to Your name forever. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!" (Psalm 44:5-8 AMP)

Confession:
In Christ Jesus, I'm more than a conqueror. Devils see me and flee. I walk in power, in dominion, in victory, and in glory this day and forever. Yes Lord in Jesus Name. Amen.
