Supernaturally Protected (2)

DAILY VITAMIN
- Supernaturally Protected (2)
"Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4 AMP)
If Cain could have a mark placed upon him by God that made him untouchable by his adversaries (Gen 4:15)- perditionable as he was, how much more we who are Joint heirs with Christ (exactly as He is in the eyes of God) by virtue of His saving grace?
Jesus said twelve legions of angels are always on standby to protect and preserve us. And He gracefully gives us an example via scripture in Elisha. Elisha having seen his young squire running helplessly and crying out of fear told him that he was looking at the wrong army. He was focusing on the wrong thing- his problems and not his privileges; and that the forces with them were greater than the enemy's (2 Kings 6:16-17).
And what happened afterwards? The enemy surrendered to him. Can you imagine how that young man would have felt at the sight of that? Well, it's what God has promised to be the reality of His people everywhere every time. Isaiah 55:5 says "You will also command the nations and they will come running to obey, not because of your own power or virtue but because I, the Lord your God, have glorified you" (TLB). Glorified? Wasn't that what Paul said that made him make that bold statement as we saw in the first part of this series? And wasn't that what happened with Elisha? The fiery enemy came bowing down. Glory to God!
In this New Covenant, the grace and love they in Elisha's day enjoyed have been magnified in multiple folds for us in Christ. So, if Elisha wasn't afraid, we have no reason to. Remember, He that is in us is greater than any threat against us in the world (1 John 4:4). You can be sure you are safe in God's hands. He will never let anything harm you (see 2 Chro 16:9). Even in the valley of the shadow of death, you won't be hurt because God will ensure your comfort.
Hence, be confident as you go out today, and as you live life every day; for the spikes and thorns set against you have all been turned into beautiful resources and paths for rest and sustenance (Isaiah 55:13). His Word has ensured it. So, again, understand that you are in a safe zone with God. The devil may try, but God says it will not succeed, for anyone who tries to touch you would be touching the apple of His eyes. They would have to go through Him to get to you. "My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all [else]; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father's hand" (John 10:29). In this understanding, go ahead and give God the praises right now. Praise Him because you can't be wasted nor exploited by the wicked; you are well covered by His blood. You are supernaturally destruction-proofed. Hallelujah! And Congratulations!
