God Will Help You! (1)

DAILY VITAMIN
- God will Help You (1)
"I am holding you by your right hand- I, the Lord your God- and I say to you, Don't be afraid; I am here to help you. Despised though you are, fear not, O Israel; for I will help you..." (Isaiah 41:13-14 TLB)
We are never alone; neither are we ever forsaken. It doesn't matter how hard things may get, we can be rest assured that we have help coming. And God has made Himself responsible to make it happen. Isaiah 41 says "When the poor and needy seek water and there is none and their tongues are parched from thirst, then I will answer when they cry to me. I, Israel's God, will not ever forsake them. I will open up rivers for them on high plateaus...In the deserts will be pools of water, and rivers fed by springs shall flow across the dry, parched ground. I will plant trees...on barren land. Everyone will see this miracle and understand that it is God who did it..." (Isaiah 41:17-20 TLB).
Can you believe that? Your lack will be replaced with abundance, your thirst with satisfaction, your barrenness with productivity; plus furthermore, people will see it and know that only God could have done such a thing. It will not be an ordinary happening, and so can't be ignored. It will be new and rare; the kind that human efforts cannot create. It will be an impossible-but made possible-occurrence.
Does this remind you of your present situation- that is, the impossible part? If it does, then you are exactly the candidate God has chosen for this experience. Remember, God doesn't help those who believe they need none, contrary to general opinion, rather He helps those who can't help themselves. Proverbs 3:34 says that He gives much grace to stand victoriously to the lowly (those whose eyes are set on Him and not on self).
So, you can be excited, because God will help you. It doesn't matter how acrid your circumstance may be, He says He will help you. You may have begun the year with tears, but He won't let you end it with tears. As He said in our theme verse, He will hold you by His right hand- signifying strength, and will help you.
In other words, as Paul said He will make sufficient grace abound towards you, and replace your weak spots with His strength; and in the wake of this reality, the weak will find themselves living as the strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). When Hezekiah prayed, God replied with a miracle (2 Chro 32:24), and He will do the same with you. This is your heritage in Christ, and this is what He has promised to perfect in your life today.
