Take A Walk With Jesus

DAILY VITAMIN
- Take A Walk With Jesus
"[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]" (Philippians 3:10 AMP).
The principles of friendship sometimes may be confused as being based on how close two people are, but I believe that it's based on how close two people want to be. The desire to start something beyond what you presently see has always been the starting point for relationships. That's what truly defines the potential of a relationship- that is, how far you are willing to go.
For instance, when Jesus was passing by the seaside, seeing His disciples to be, He called upon them to follow Him; but here's where it gets interesting: Peter and Co. hadn't had any form of relationship with Christ prior to that moment, but that day they took a risk- a dynamic shift towards knowing Him, which they could have chosen not to, and that began the revolution of their life-enriching relationship with the Lord of lords.
Many of us are afraid to take risks, especially when it comes to meeting new people, perhaps maybe because surveys have shown that it could be partially dangerous in the same proportion as it's also blissful, but I believe that the best risk any man can take is to newly meet the Lord. That is, to get in par with Him if you have never known Him, and to re-ignite the fire of the relationship if you have been driven aback from that love.
I term meeting Christ as the best risk, because to me that's the only risk with a sure profit.....a profit of life,....a profit of love,.....a profit of an ever winning confidence, not because we know how to believe, but because we would now have a Father who knows how to answer when we believe.
Thus, if you have never had a friend, see a friend in Christ Jesus, and have Him to yourself today by just saying Yes to His ever-drawing words.
