- Take Control Of Your Life
"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..." (Proverbs 23:7)
It's such a very funny statement, that is, what we say when we sometimes try to start a conversation with our acquaintances. We ask them with so much veracity ''How is life treating you?''; but literally I have reached an understanding by the grace of God that it is very wrong. 'Why?' we may ask. Well, here's why:
- One, when God made you and I, He did it fearfully and wonderfully; meaning He did not create us to fear, but for the other constituents of creation to fear us for His awesome glory upon us, giving us dominion as well. And wonderfully because we were made for signs and wonders (Isaiah 8:18), showing that anything that should occur must be determined by us, and not life itself or its circumstances; for the results of life were programmed to be automated by the choices made, and by the actions and beliefs of you and I, we can change it any time to borne unto us what we sowed in (see Matthew 9:29).
- And Secondly, God said the issues of life are in (your) heart (Proverbs 4:23), and not yours in life; so whatsoever life will be is basically based on what we choose it to be by our deeds and beliefs. Don't just sit down and complain about how life is unfair, make it fair enough for you. Never complain about what you let happen. You may not be able to change everything, but believe me you can change something.
We determine how life becomes to and for us. It may not seem so now, but it's what it actually is. That is, what we think determines how we act, how we act determines what we get, what we get determines where we go, and where we go ultimately determines the kind of life we live. So, whether you believe it or not, it starts and ends with what you choose to do.
Thus, from henceforth whenever you are asked about how life is treating you, always respond saying 'Good, but by His grace I'm treating it better'. You were not made for this human life, this human life was made for you, to exhibit the goodness and glory of Christ to the external world, drawing them back unto an eternal life in Christ. Remember, you are the light of the world, and that light is what gives life to men (see Matthew 5:14, John 1:4-5).
Hence, Run life; never let life run you. Decide or else life will do it for you. Don't just go with the flow, determine in what direction you want to flow with the energies of life. In short, take control of your life, or something else will. Live as God dictates, and not as life itself says you should; for that is the only way to become all He says you are, and not what life says you can!

What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action. In everything you do always remember that love comes before ambition. Most times we get so carried away in climbing the ladder of success that we fail to recognize and notice when there are hands stretching high for us to help lift them up.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
