- We Are Well Covered
"Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep" (Psalm 121:4 AMP)
As John narrated the ministry of Christ in his gospel, he spoke about the gathering of the disciples to Him one after the other; and when he came to the part of Philip's conversion, he said that after Philip had followed Jesus, 'he found Nathaniel' (John 1:45), and told him about the Messiah he had seen with his own eyes.
Though Nathaniel argued against the statement as it begged the question of a Messiah coming forth from such a non-renowned town as Nazareth, yet Philip's confounding words of ''Come and See'' ended the feud, and Nathaniel followed him.
On seeing Jesus, he saw a man who spoke to him as if He had known him aforetime, and he asked if they had met before, and Jesus said 'when you were yet under the fig tree, I SAW THEE' (v. 48).
This mystic verse in scripture teaches us one thing: that though it may seem as if we are alone, but we are not, because God sees-and is with-us. We are told that God is always in our midst to save us and bring joy into our lives (Zephaniah 3:17).
In those trying days of our lives, when it seems as if a mountain sits upon us, causing no one to care about us as though we were extinct in their sight, God still sees us. The scriptures say that His eyes are everywhere, watching everyone alike (Proverbs 16:3). And that He has special interest in us.
It's like a brigader in a guerrilla war who seems lost in the tropics with enemies everywhere without realizing that there are those monitoring him to ensure his safety, survival and success.
Relative to this, God is that great One who monitors us to ensure our safety and success in life; and this He does with His all-seeing eyes which moves all through the earth on behalf of His people (2 Chronicles 16:9). The world may not care about you, but God is very much 'crazy' about you. His thoughts are always on how to make a better person of you, and to give you the life He's promised us in Christ.
Thus, no matter what may be happening to you, know that God sees you, and is able to aid you scale through it all. Carry that mentality wherever you go; that regardless of what people say or think about you, God cares and thinks greatly about you. Hence, never stop hoping in Him, never stop believing andd believing confident in Him....for He sees and He saves...and He promises to keep watching over you!
