G.R.A.C.E.: Recreated In And For Christ

DAILY VITAMIN
- G.R.A.C.E: Recreated In And For Christ
"For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]" (Ephesians 2:10 AMP).
While writing to the church in Ephesus, Paul specifically made mention of the unimaginable grace of God, when he wrote: ''...Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ'' (Ephesians 2:5).
Paul, a man who had been to the very extreme of sin, while believing he was righteous, came to the understanding that it was impossible for him to have saved himself; that is, to have reasoned out salvation out of the blue, and thus saved himself, seeing how deeply he had erred...so deep that he used the plural 'sins' to show how extreme the situation once was for him, them, you, and I.
But after this realization of the infeasibility of man saving himself through his self-acquired salvation, he completed the above text with the words..'by grace ye are saved'- showing that God saved us, and we didn't ourselves.
In fact, we oftentimes can't even explain the process, but grace explains it...His grace does.
Relative to this, it's also crystal clear that our daily and yearly survival is not a function of what we do, but of what He still does -Grace. You walked in and out of a mart, only to discover that an hour before there was an attack, and an hour after your departure the same- Grace. Or like that young man, you bought an abandoned field only to discover it was a gold mine- Grace.
And most importantly, that Christ came to die at a period preceding the age of your birth, thereby giving you a chance to get closer to the Father...a chance Sodom couldn't perceive, and even the Patriarch couldn't conceive.
Grace gets you not where you deserve, but where Christ deserves; and gives us not what we earned, but what He earned for us: for as a tether, grace has sewn us into Christ (Colossians 3:3, Galatians 3:27-29). Yet, if we fail to keep ourselves sown in Him, by obeying His words, we break the cords, borne of grace, binding us to God, and thus live refutable, despicable vain lives.
Thus Paul wrote, "WHAT SHALL we say [to all this]? Are we to remain in sin in order that God's grace (favor and mercy) may multiply and overflow? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer? Are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life" (Romans 6:1-4 AMP).
Therefore, to keep the cord stronger by the day; firstly learn to appreciate the grace shown towards you already on the cross, walking by His principles of salvation to keep the grace of Christ ever in effect and showering upon you. And then secondly, learn to live led by His Spirit. He is the Spirit of grace; the more yielded we are to Him, the more we uncover the unending facets of His grace.
Hence, with the knowledge that grace (in Christ) saved you, do your part to stay sustained in that grace, by making a move to stay by God throughout the rest of your race on earth. Keep it simple....Keep it as God in your RACE!
