Faith Your Way Through It All (2)

DAILY VITAMIN
- Faith Your Way Through It All (2)
"Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice." (Isaiah 41:10 AMP)
Many a times, a lot of us act as Elijah did on the day he fled as a result of Jezebel's threats. Prior to this time, Elijah had called down fire from up above, ceased fruitfulness in the pastures of Israel, zipped up the rain clouds, and embarrassed the servants of Baal before the entire populace.
But the moment he heard Jezebel's words, he ran as though bewildered, requesting for death to engulf him. Note, at the first instances, he saw swords and bows, chariots and men, yet he wasn't scared; but in this second instance, the words of a woman ripped away every bit of faith he had left.
Relating that to the message of today in context, a whole lot of us Christians lose faith at the slightest jam we come across. Though we had previously faced worse situations, and still scaled through by the help of God, but when situations as this come up, we readily forget that the same God who did deliver us yesterday can also do the same today.
We debar the truth that God is the same today and forever as He was yesterday, only to fall back into our shell in fear of what shouldn't even trigger any bit of panick in us.
The Bible records that when the disciple heard that the tomb was empty, and went to confirm it, on seeing it 'they went away again into their homes' (John 20:10). I presume disheartened, that perhaps their faith had been proven wrong by the reality of the death they thought to have seen, failing to understanding that this same Christ as a man walked on water, raised dead men, healed the tormented, and calmed outrageous tides; and as a spirit should be able to do even more.....even resurrecting fully fleshed.
And by that, allowed fear and doubt to crumble the little faith they had built up.
Thus, you know... personally.. what you have faced with the Lord -what you encountered and overcame by Him, in Him, and through Him....... And so next time a problem comes your way, don't fidget or run away because it seems so big, rather face it because you have a much more bigger God who stands by you always, and is inclined to the business of doing bigger and greater things for us.
Whatever He can do for one, He can do for all; whatever He's done before, He can do the same and much more. But as Jesus said, to see it manifested as God sees it always, only believe doubtlessly!(John 20:27)
