Putting Your Life To Proper Use

DAILY VITAMIN
- Putting Your Life To Proper Use
"Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house." (Matthew 5:15 AMP)
If I were to ask you a question concerning your present state, I'd like to presume that I will receive a fortunate response. Like for instance, if I were to ask how many times in a year you cry yourself to sleep, a good number of us would respond with a resounding less than one answer. That is, 1 or less in 360+ days a year.
But unfortunately that is not the case for some others who hit the everyday mark. That is, some folks around us are so laden with problems that they cry everyday to sleep.
A typical philosopher would, at this juncture, argue that if there was a God, why would this set suffer such; but nevertheless the issue here is not the problem, but the effectiveness of the solution provided - in which case today I want you to know that you are.
I can hear someone say "What does he mean?" Well.....
God did not only transform you into a saint, but He also endowed you with all virtues required to heal the poor ailing heart. He placed comforting words in your mouth; gave you a Comforter to teach you how it's done; and provided opportunities for its usage. But the question today is, how much are you letting yourself to be used by God?
God's plan is to heal all who suffers; but guess whom He's going to use to do most of it? You, of course- His child begotten by blood of covenant, who is meant to do the Father's business; but except you share His vision, you can do nothing. This is because where two different visions exists there is di-vision. So, until you're ready to agree with this plan of God, accomplishing it would be nearly impossible.
Thus, I'll ask again, how much of God's will to help men are you fulfilling by making yourself a tool to be used in His hands?
Recall Jesus said ''the poor will always be among you'', but note He didn't leave them without hope, because as God gave us Christ, He gave them you - His image, that through your words of Him, their Roses might bloom again.
So, don't waste any more time, go ahead and start doing the good that is in your power to do in order to bring relief to the bereaved and suffering. Do what Christ did. He went about doing good (Acts 10:38). See it as God's calling for you. It doesn't need to be money; for even the disciples said they had no silver or gold, but they didn't leave that lame man with nothing. It could be a simple prayer for them. It could be a little encouragement. It could be the message of salvation. It could be a property you don't need anymore. It doesn't have to be much, but make sure it's something.
Except the rain falls, every herb will die. In a similar manner, unless you act now as Christ did, useful gems to the Kingdom will be lost to the thief. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, but God has sent you to bring the stolen, the killed and the destroyed back to the life of Christ.
The acknowledgment of God completes the canvas of life. Without Him, life will lose its essence. And living as He has called us to is one way we acknowledge His person before all men.
So, let me ask you again, and I do hope you have a fortunate response for it: What are you ready to put your life to proper use as God proposed it to be? If yes, then what are you waiting for?
