You Must Finish Well
DAILY VITAMIN
- You Must Finish Well
"I have fought the good (worthy, honorable, and noble) fight, I have finished the race, I have kept (firmly held) the faith. [As to what remains] henceforth there is laid up for me the [victor's] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that [great] day--"
(2 Timothy 4:7-8)
Finishing well isn't an act that always seem as though it would be right from the onset of a task, but by a persistent reminder that it's the only alternative, your willpower to work until you meet the goal stays on top.
Whenever you have a task before you, the lacked materials, the unknown exclusive integrated knowledge for such tend to stand as a barrier, creating a siege against your accomplishment of such a task. In this dilemma (of confusion and pressure), the first thing to do to yourself is to remind yourself of how important that task's accomplishment is to the needy party or group of people, and their reliance on you to break through its obstacles; while the first thing to do for yourself is to say a word of prayer unto God, seeking for the grace to endure the weary road and strength to move on.
For instance, Jesus seeing the need to redeem man, and the task committed into His hands, gave Himself completely to fulfill God's purpose on the earth. But whenever the oppositions came against. Him, that is, the Pharisees, Sadducees and the entire Jewish council, He constantly affirmed His position before God as the Son right before their faces, and later at dusk would leave to a solitary place to pray unto God.
At Gethsemane, when the pressure of the pain to be experienced the coming day pulled up, He went in prayer to God, receiving strength in return to move on...and in accomplishment of His purpose, He exclaims 'It is finished'.
Your reality to finish above expectation depends on your ability to encourage yourself, and to stay aligned to God's plan. If you must finish well today, wherever you may be right now and regardless of your previously flawed beginning, you must first of all believe God has given you all the potentials needed to succeed, for if we must receive of Him, we must believe He rewards those who seek Him diligently, believing and following His every word.
Hence, prepare to finish well, because you must, and you will!
