Find Relief In Jesus

DAILY VITAMIN
- Find Relief In Jesus
I have come to understand that a word of your ordeal with God never leaves you in the same spot. God’s comfort will heal wounds men's hands can't reach.
You see, you might get in a cab, down you go to a professional psychologist, but still might return as down as you went. You might see a doctor to advice you on how long of a life span you have, but you might still leave with the same expected life span. In fact, you may even see a teacher to help you with better understanding of Dalziel's equation and mathematical theorems, but there is also a big chance you'll return without understanding anything better as you did earlier before.
I'm not saying these professional helps aren't good, I'm simply saying there aren't better than God. They may provide help, but true rest comes from the Lord.
But what does God say? 'Come unto Me, all ye... that are heavy laden', but He isn't just calling you for a session, He said 'I will give you rest'(Matthew 11:28). The Psalmist said that Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer (Psalm 94:1 TLB).
To the half dead fellow, He said 'I am the resurrection and the life; he that believe in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25). He doesn't seek your booking an appointment at the ''Doc's free hours'', just that you believe Him for all that He says He is and can do.
To the academically struggling kid, just ask David who confessed, 'I have more understanding than all my teachers', why? 'because Thy (God's) testimonies are my meditations' (Psalm 119:99). David used the word 'are' to connote its ever being present; and so the presence of God's Spirit is enough to help heal all our ailments.
God's word will build you up until you come to the fullness of His nature. And we know God cannot be depressed; so you won't be when you give God the place He desires in your life. Everything turns out best when we give God more of ourselves. So are you despondent like the diseased woman? Or ostracized like Bartimaeus? All you have to do to attain the respite you seek is to take it all to Jesus. A touch from Him will quench your ordeal into oblivion.
But first know that if there must be a comforting, there must first be a confessing. Hence, tell it all to Him, take it all to Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:6-7)!
