It is understandable for men to look at the poor kid, and assume he has no future other than in penury, but it is not acceptable. Facts may agree with it, but the God kind of faith doesn't. History may prove it true, but the word says otherwise. The word of God tells us that a small nation shall become like a thousand mighty nations combined (Isaiah 60:22). So, while facts may judge your previous or present status, the word of God judges your ordained future in Christ.
Human theories and philosophies are often established to judge the book by the cover; and that's why often times at the perception of your present status, people-even familiars-assume nothing good can come out of you. The same way you might ignore a book because of its unimpressive title, or unappealing cover, many people are being ignored, downsized and undermined because of their present look. This is so rampant in practice that we even fail to understand that the seed that once smelled and lost its coat eventually because the admirable king of all trees. You may be in your seed stage now, but you won't die in it.
But guess what? In the same way Jesus came to establish a new covenant, one which has its foundation on grace, and not on the 'law' that so readily judges a man finally as what he was born as, Jesus has given you the same grace to be bigger and better than what you were born as. He specifically chose the rurals as His birth place, and now reigns as Lord, to show us in simple terms what His presence in us can cause us to achieve - which is what we use to term impossible. That is, He has renewed us in Himself to a state where our present doesn't determine our future, but our choices in God; such that if you choose to step out of sickness in faith, you are. And if you choose to step out of penury, you have. Whatever you believe God enough to see as done can be done.
However, to accomplish this, we must as Paul admonished 'Cast down our former imaginations and thoughts of how things has been and should be, that keeps on defying what God now says concerning you' (2 Corinthians 10:5). We must get to that state where our minds stop being a function of what we see and hear, but of what God says; so that even though you don't have the best education, you still believe Him who says in Him all things are possible.
Thus, first things first, let it be a watchword for you that you are not a function of your present condition, but of what God says you are, inculcating this belief into your inner man, until every fear of 'what if' is brought under captivity in obedience to what Christ has in store for you. And here's why if you still don't know: you have been renewed... The old is past (the assumptions of others concerning you), all things are new (what God now says concerning you). That's the destiny available for your taking- God's word concerning you not condition's. And it can be yours. Only believe!
