- Living The Committed Life
As children of the Supreme, one thing God desires of us is total commitment, just as a groom requires the same of his bride, or the boss of his workers. God is well aware of the fact that the tempter isn't going to give up on you, yet He expects you to always provide him with a straight-up No for an answer everytime he tempts you according to the grace He has provided in abundance for you. Temptations are bound to come, but God’s special interest is in the response you're going to commiserate its arrival with. That is, are you going to yield to it, or be shielded from it?
Just as with Balaam, the devil would keep on coming with more and more attractive things, things that seem honourable, even a so-called human promotion until he breaks us. Well that shouldn't be new to you, seeing he did the same to Jesus from a bread, to an open glory and then to earth's dominion- things God has already given us in Christ, but out of ignorance we fail to receive. In spite of his constant vicious attempt, God doesn't see this fight as unfair, for while the devil has unlimited attempts to lure us away, we have God's Spirit within us-who gives us the advantage-to help us resist him, but just like Balaam (Number 22), many of us rarely choose to listen to Him; in fact we practically force our will on Him, and when that happens, all we get is what 'Balak' (the condemned) was meant to receive - desolation.
So to be in par with God, let's learn to fully commit ourselves, our ways, thoughts and actions to Him, because truly if there's anything the devil fears the most, it's the man who has no disparity with God, but is in every way just as He is, as a result of his commitment to that perfect will of God. Nothing is more scary to him than a committed life to God, as no one is more than he who is completely committed to Him.
Hence, if you have never known commitment, stay committed to God. Stay altruistic in all matters that concerns Him. Let Him have first place in your life; for He is in every way committed to as many as show Him they are to Him as well (Proverbs 8:17)

What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
