Renewed (1)

DAILY VITAMIN
- Renewed I
Even as Christians, most times we fail to realize how conformed to the world we have become. Regardless of our religious displays and piety, we often times fail to exemplify Christ. Many a person who claim to be like Jesus live lives that depict that they had never known Him. This should be important to us all because it is more than just knowing that reveals Christ in us; how we live shows the perfect picture.
Furthermore, it is custom for the world to embrace those who follow it, and dispose those who challenge it; but what did Jesus do? He came to save the sinner (those who challenge God's authority) (Mark 2:17). What I am trying to imply by this: we fail to realize that the purpose of Christianity is to save as many as possible before the harvest comes, not to discard the unsaved. In fact, it would be absurd for the labourer to discard a grain no matter how bad he thinks it looks without the Master giving the order, even Jesus in His parable spoke about how the wheat and the tares were nurtured together until the harvest came (Luke 13:24-30). And since our ministry is that of reconciliation and not condemnation, we have no right to cast the withering grain away until the Master's day arrives, rather our attempt should be to save that ear of grain for Him, so as to give Him a plus and not a minus.
When Matthew wrote about 'not judging others' (7:1), I couldn't understand before, but now i do, because if we approach a person with a judgmental spirit, no one would be worth saving; but when we go with the Spirit of Christ - in love, and of meekness, we see a whole lot to save even in that rotten grain as Christ saw in us.
Hence, to fully accomplish our roles as ombudsmen in this world of pilgrimage, we must also renew our minds until it's more like Christ's, because the you you know will never see an enemy worth saving, but Christ in you yearns even to save him as He did when He hung on the cross for us. Therefore, desist from condemnation and judgment, for that's no man's job, but His whom this world belongs to; but rather pick up the ministry of reconciliation, and save as many as you can in love, because without love, we can never see past the sin to the sinner whom God wills to save.
Thus, Renew your mind today. Don't let your present experience with people be your reference for judgment; let God's word be that for you. And He says His will is to save all men (1 Timothy 2:4), and that's what He's expecting of you and I. So, go ahead and save souls all day....in love!
