Make Your Setback A Set Up For Greater Things

Have you ever felt like God lied about all He said He had planned for you because something off the script you envisioned occurred? If yes, it's time to change that mind set and attitude into something more productive. A setback is not a license to stay back. Even the tides teach us that- such that regardless of how high the fence used as a demarcation between the sea and the land is, it still continues to hit until it eventually brings down that wall. Your not-so-good state is not an excuse to exile yourself to a state of forever penury and mediocrity, because life doesn't decide our lot, our choices do. For instance, the children of Israel had suffered for 39 years plus in the bewildering deserts; in fact they must have gotten used to being stagnant-no progress, no nothing, at least not until God advised that they go forward northward (Deut 2:3). Nevertheless the final verdict rested on their decision to obey and move. Don't let the devil cheat you, believing it's God's final will to keep you suffering at that spot for so long. God is good, and He will never desire your hurt. This setback is the devil's scheme to keep you from seeing all God has ahead of you. You'd notice that though the cross was Jesus' destiny, but on earth it wasn't God who did everything to take Him there, it was the devil- first with Judas and then with the Jews. To him, the cross was Jesus' end, but he never knew God was turning the table around. Same way the devil might have plotted your present setback, but never choose to believe that it's your end. Like Jesus, you must decide to ascend. God has called you to reign in high places, so don't get too comfortable with the bottom. God's will for you is forward and success in all ramifications of your life- finance, relationship, education, career, even as you go high just as the north is on the cardinal point. So don't let your present waterloo keep you sunk. Rise up from that mire and despondent mess you find yourself in, and see God's beacon of hope lighting your path just ahead of you-and with it keep walking forward. Are you ready to make your setback a paradigm shift to your success? Don't stay down dancing to the tunes of mediocrity and low self worth, rather keep moving forward as God directs until you get back to your success ways.

DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
