Don't Just Have It, Be It

DAILY VITAMIN
We live in a world of formalities, where owning a book is more important than having any knowledge of it; where a college degree seems to be greater than expertise in your field of study; where going to church appears more needful than living the life it teaches; and just having a family is more necessary than living happily with it. We abdicate priorities just for the purpose of appeasing society's demands; such that in an attempt to just go with the world's flow, we fail both God and men. This same society condemns you when you choose to stay alone void of relationships, yet it condones negligence and bitterness in such relations. God does not want us doing things or engaging in activities just to add up the nummbers, but rather to get the best out of every form we find ourselves. He says "with all thy gettings get understanding"(Pro 4:7), meaning that every opportunity is an avenue to make the best out of something, such that if you own a Bible, it becomes a means to learn more about knowing God; and if you get into college, it becomes an avenue to be truly sound, having good judgment and commonsense in relation to your choice of profession. If you had the privilege to attend church, it would be a route to embrace the principles of the God kind of life, and if you had a family, it would mean a chance to love those around you as much as God loves you. Don't be quite satisfied with formality, go further unto priority, for just as it's not the starchy mould that heals, but the minute extract in a pill, and as mere following is nothing compared to thorough knowledge, carrying out a particular duty without an actual sense of purpose nor a hunger to be more can never ever be enough, at least not in the sight of God nor men. Hence, in everything you do, do it with a sense to fully actualize the best there can ever be in such a situation.
