Passing The Test

DAILY VITAMIN
Whether we believe it or not, some situations....some very not to good situations remain stuck with us, not because God can't help us, or doesn't want to save us, but because at the moment they are God's way of testing us to see how much of Himself we are willing to hold on to when things aren't fair. It could be unsurmountable sometimes, believe me, but presumably when we do well, we always come out better and bolder in God. Paul had a thorn in the flesh. A problem that perhaps always brought disparity between his thoughts that God could do all things and the fears of if He really can't. He grew weary having it around, and so one day he prayed 'Lord take it away', but that didn't break God, not the tears, not the mumbling sounds mixed with his words, instead God said 'My grace is sufficient'(2 Cor 12:9), believe me you need this; and eventually it turned out great for Paul, in that he later wrote "..for when i'm weak, then I am strong- the less I have, the more I depend on Him"(vs 10). Yours might just be somewhat the same like Paul's. You might hate the fact that you have to deal with it, but God knows you need it if you are ever going to get to the next level of power, of faith, of benefits He's proposed for you. You just have to trust Him. For instance, after Israel had come out of their long term captivity in Egypt, God prepared the best lands, the best gifts and everything anyone could ever wish for, but seeing their dwindling nature back and forth towards sin, He knew there was no way they were going to truly receive all this, if they kept playing catch with the devil. He knew there was no way there were going to get these benefits if they kept claiming they loved Him only to disobey Him, and claiming they hated the devil only to obey him. So what did He do? The Lord used the pricking Nations to test their resolve, to confirm if they would obey Him as their ancestors did (Judges 2:22). Therefore, just maybe, God could be doing the same thing to test your resolve too. That pestering landlord could just be a test to see if you would trust God enough to remain godly in all your confrontations with him. That annoying job could just be a test to confirm if you would give your best even in bad situations. Those unfair grades you are getting in school may just be a test to see if you can absorb the pressure of disappointment and still forge ahead with a better than before attitude. It might not be fun today, but at the end God always have a way of rewarding us better than all we thought we ever lost in that period. Hence, don't feel too bad because of the today you see, get your smile back it's just a test, and remember that after tests are scored and impressive, all that's next is a promotion. Don't miss out on that my friend, and this you do by simply trusting Him enough in that situation to obey Him.
